PROF. TADEUSZ ZGÓŁKA FOUNDATION
OBJECTIVES AND OPERATING PRINCIPLES
The Foundation registered with the National Court Register on 2 December 2022 with the number KRS 0001005996.
The purpose of the Foundation is:
1. to act for the development and support of culture, art, protection of cultural goods and national heritage,
2. to organise, promote and support artistic and cultural projects,
3. to disseminate knowledge of the Polish language, culture and art at local, national and international levels,
4. to promote and support international scientific and artistic exchange,
5. to strengthen the study of Polish language, interest in correct, efficient Polish language and in the art of linguistic "coexistence",
6. to initiate and support projects concerning Polish language as well as those devoted to Polish culture,
7. to support the development of intercultural contacts,
8. to promote the development of civil society and to popularise cultural and social civic activity
9. to undertake activities supporting the development of local communities and societies,
10. to develop scientific, cultural and social contacts between representatives of different countries and communities,
11. supporting the development of science, higher education, education and upbringing,
12. to take action to support the development of children and young people by demonstrating to them the value of coexistence, participation in undertakings organised with them in mind.
Prof. Tadeusz Zgółka (1945-2021) - Professor of humanities in the field of linguistics, logic and methodology of sciences at the A. Mickiewicz University in Poznań. Doctor honoris causa at the M.V. Lomonosov University in Arkhangelsk. Co-founder of the Polish Studies Department at that university. Author and editor of numerous publications, co-chairman of the Polish-American Scientific Council of the Polish edition of the Encyclopedia Britannica in Chocago, deputy scientific editor and author of the entries of the 50-volume Practical Dictionary of Modern Polish. Member of the State Certification Commission for the Certification of Proficiency in Polish as a Foreign Language. Winner of numerous awards and distinctions.
