The record includes the works of one of the most gifted, as well as the most popular, composers of all times – Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The three fugues and adagios (KV 465, 171, 546) and the greatest work recorded by MUSICARIUS, that is Requiem KV 626, the most famous of all the requiem masses.
The performance of this great vocal and instrumental work according to the original transcription of Peter Lichtenthal (1780-1853) for a string quartet (hence, the title of the album, ARS TRANSCRIBENDI – the art of transcription) is truly incredible and rare on the music market. The album was recorded using old instruments and is an attempt to grasp the music of the end of the 18th century in terms of both performance and sound.
